Executive Director’s Insight:
Stephen Driscoll, our Executive Director, expressed the significance of this match for our club: “Really exciting for our club to play on NZ soil for the first time. The Warriors, better known as ‘The Wahs,’ have become such a huge brand in the NRL. To think our little footy club from Fiji will play the Warriors in NZ is massive, not just for our Silktails brand but especially for our players and staff who will get to experience NZ for the first time. A big Vinaka to The Warriors who have organized for our team to be picked up in the Warriors NRL Team Bus, which will make the experience for our local boys one they will never forget.”

Recent Performance:
The Warriors come into this match with a strong record, having won three out of their last five games, including notable victories against tough opponents. In contrast, the Silktails are still searching for consistency but showed promise in our recent Round 17 match against the Storm, despite the 36-14 loss.

In that encounter, we demonstrated resilience and flashes of brilliant play, particularly in attack. Our ability to create scoring opportunities was evident, but we struggled to maintain that consistency throughout the match.

Head-to-Head Record:
Historically, the Warriors have had the upper hand in our meetings, winning all three previous encounters. Their most recent victory came in our last clash on April 5th, 2025, when they secured a 28-18 win at our home ground in Lautoka. The memory of that game, along with our performance against the Storm, serves as motivation for our players as we seek our first-ever victory against the Warriors.

Team Focus:
As we look ahead to this pivotal contest, our coaching staff is emphasizing the need to minimize errors and maintain consistency throughout the full 80′.
