The Sharks produced a commanding display to secure a 36–16 victory over the Kaiviti Silktails in a fast-paced, physical encounter that had everything—tries, missed conversions, and tactical interchanges that kept fans on edge until the final whistle.
First Half
The Sharks wasted no time stamping their authority on the contest.
At 3:30, Xavier Cacciotti powered over the line for the opening try, putting the Sharks ahead 4–0 after Marc Tannous’ early conversion attempt drifted wide at 5:07.
Moments later, at 11:54, Tannous made amends with a try of his own to extend the Sharks’ lead to 8–0. However, he couldn’t find his range from the tee again, missing the conversion.
The Sharks’ relentless pressure continued when Nikora Williams crossed over at 13:48 to make it 12–0. This time, Tannous converted successfully at 19:30, stretching the margin to 14–0.
The Silktails looked to regain composure with a double interchange at 21:15, bringing on Seru Kalounivalu for Jone Lee. It didn’t take long for Silktails to hit back.
Kalounivalu immediately made an impact, crashing over at 28:05 for their first points of the match (14–4). Iowani Mainalovo converted at 29:35, closing the gap to 14–6.
Another interchange saw Noah Rauluni replace Gabriel Rawamila for the Silktails at 32:13, setting the stage for Tevita Wanisi, who crossed at 32:36 to bring the score to 14–10. Mainalovo again added the extras at 34:38, making it 14–12, tightening the contest.
But the Sharks responded swiftly. Jai Camilleri crossed the line at 38:40, and Tannous converted at 39:39 to send the Sharks into halftime leading 20–12.

Silktails kept within reach when Iowani Mainalovo touched down at 50:56, though he missed the subsequent conversion, leaving the score at 26–16.
From that point, the Sharks regained control through disciplined structure and bench impact. A flurry of interchanges between 52:53 and 62:35 saw Cooper Hannay, Thomas Dellow, Jai Davies, and Setefano Sele rotating through to maintain momentum.
