Karawalevu To Join Silktails In Round 4 Of The NSWRL Ron Massey Cup

Fiji Bati, Sydney Roosters and Kaiviti Silktails Player #22 – Vuate Karawalevu, will return to where it all began for him and will turn out for the Kaiviti Silktails Round 4 match against Mounties this Saturday night in the Ron Massey Cup.

In what has been a patchy start to his 2023 season where he has been hampered by injury and a lack of game time, Sydney Roosters NSW Cup Coach Anthony Barnes has sent the World Cup winger back to get some much needed playing minutes under his belt.

For Silktails Head Coach Wes Naiqama, having one of the clubs favourite sons return is always exciting and he is expecting the former Marist student to have an impact on his young squad who are searching to bounce back after losing to competition favourites Glebe Dirty Reds last Saturday.

“Having Vuate back is always nice as he will always have a home here with us. For his career, the quicker he is back playing NSW Cup and pushing for an NRL debut the better it will be for him and that will only happen with a strong performance on Saturday.” said Naiqama.

“I am expecting him to bring his experience back and use that to have a positive influence on our young squad and help us get back in the winners circle.”

The Silktails will take on Mounties on Saturday night at Aubrey Keech Reserve, and a win will see them maintain their spot in the Competitions Top 5.
