LAUTOKA, FIJI — The Melbourne Storm and Kaiviti Silktails will honor a rugby league icon this Saturday at Churchill Park for the launching of the inaugural Tui Kamikamica Bowl.
Named in honor of recently retired former Fiji Bati captain and Melbourne Storm forward Tui Kamikamica, the match will feature the Melbourne Storm U21s taking on the Kaiviti Silktails U21s. Joining Kamikamica for this historic event is fellow Melbourne Storm superstar Eliesa “Eli” Katoa, who is currently sidelined as he continues his recovery.

The creation of the perpetual fixture acknowledges Kamikamica’s immense contribution to rugby league across Fiji and Australia, serving as a beacon for local talent aspiring to reach the NRL.

The presence of Tongan international edge-forward Eli Katoa reinforces the deep Pacific ties within the Melbourne Storm organization. Katoa, a Dally M Second-Rower of the Year, has taken on a key mentoring role for Melbourne’s rising forwards while recovering.
Both players will participate in fan meet-and-greets, community outreach initiatives, and trophy presentation ceremonies following the match.
