Announcement Of First 4 Silktails Players Re-committing To Club

The Kaiviti Silktails has begun its recruitment and retention for season 2023, with the re-signing of four of its brightest young stars in prop Watisoni Waqanisaravi, back rower Meli Nasau, Simione Cakau and Iobe Taukeisalisali.

All four will also be rewarded with a pre-season training with the Sydney Roosters Jersey Flegg and NSW Cup Squads.

”I’m really excited about the re-signing of 4 of our young players who all had incredible first seasons with our Club” said Silktails Coach Wes Naiqama.

“Watisoni, Meli, Simione and Iobe all showed maturity beyond their years, and all contributed to what was a successful year for the Club, only falling short of making the semi finals.”

“It’s great to see the fruition of our partnership with the Sydney Roosters continue to grow, with the boys being rewarded with pre-seasons with the Sydney Roosters.”

“I’m really excited to see the growth of these boys with their first full pre-season and second year in the competition.”

“These boys, along with the re-signing of more members of our 2022 squad to be announced this week, will be the nucleus of our Club for the next few years. Exciting times ahead!”
