A Message from the Chairman –

Ni Sa Bula Vinaka – Petero Civoniceva here, Chairman of the Kaiviti Silktails RLFC.

Nine years ago, we started on this journey to provide a development pathway for Fiji’s best local Rugby League talent an opportunity of a lifetime – to play in an Australian competition in pursuit of an NRL contract opportunity.

After many challenges and ups and downs – in 2020 the Kaiviti Silktails RLFC was born, and we made our way to Australia to compete in the NSWRL Ron Massey Cup, only for the season to be halted by the COVID Pandemic.

Likewise, our 2021 journey was impacted by COVID-19, and we were unable to finish the season.

In 2022, we finally had our first ever full season run in the NSWRL Ron Massey Cup – our proudest and most successful year to date.

Our 2022 season was a year full of many ups and downs; unexpected heartbreak, injuries, and setbacks – but through all the adversity, our boys always rose to the challenge and gave it their all, constantly fighting for themselves, each other, and our club and what it stands for.

For our first full season run in the competition, to come one win away from making Finals Rounds is an incredible achievement, and we are extremely proud of our boys and can’t commend them enough for the strength they displayed to get in that position.

In 2023 – we return to Fiji.

For the first time in our club’s short history, we will be based at home in Lautoka, Fiji – with 8 Home Games in Fiji, and 8 Away Games in Sydney.

I invite you to show your support for our club and become a Kaiviti Silktails Supporter Member, in 2023.

By becoming a Silktails Supporter Member, you are ensuring the success of our club.

Memberships ensure that we can maintain our Silktails Primary and Secondary Schools Program and our Silktails Elite Development Pathway (EDP) Program, which has fostered our current squad and currently has over 200 men and women training in our seven Silktails High Performance gyms located across Fiji – Centre of Excellence in Lautoka, Sigatoka Methodist School, FNRL HQ Suva, University Of South Pacific, RKS High School, Ra High School – and our Australian Silktails gym in Daceyville, Sydney.

We have some exciting plans in 2023 to extend our Silktails EDP Gym network, with another 3 EDP’s across Fiji.

In our short existence, our Kaiviti Silktails Development Pathway has produced 1 NRL Debut, 2 NRL Top 30 Squad Contracts, 5 Fiji Bati Test Caps, 4 French First Division Contracts, and even a Fiji 7s Rugby Debut – this along with another 21 players who have been given second tier and regional playing contract opportunities.

It doesn’t matter where you are in the world – if you see the value of our Silktails EDP Program in helping our local players realise their dreams through Rugby League – our exclusive SILKTAILS Membership unites us as true Kaiviti Silktails supporters.

By becoming a Kaiviti Silktails Supporter Member, your commitment and support to us as a club – coach, players and staff, inspires us to represent Fiji proudly and deliver success both on and off the football field.
