The Kaiviti Silktails are excited to announce the re-signing of Silktail #49 – Rusiate Baleitamavua, for the 2023 season.
Rusi is 21 and from Suva, with the team at UAA becoming his Official Player Partner.
Silktails Head Coach Wes Naiqama spoke of his elation at having Rusi return.
“Glad to see Rusi re-sign with us for another season. There were big expectations on him in his first season with us and he didn’t disappoint. Since making his debut in Round 5, he was a mainstay in our starting team and came a close second in our clubs 2022 Tabu Soro Award.” said Naiqama.
“Rusi is a big body and has a strong running game, with great vision and hands. Our left edge had plenty of strike with his combination he had with Meli Nasau. Looking forward to him partnering up with Ponipate Komai next season. Excited by what I’ve seen in our first 2 weeks of pre season.”
