Bokini Re-Signs With The Silktails

The Kaiviti Silktails are excited to announce the re-signing of Silktail #53 – Jonetani Bokini, for the 2023 season.

JB is 21 and from Tavua, with the team at Fiji Kava becoming his Official Player Partner.

Silktails Head Coach Wes Naiqama shared his thoughts on having the former Ratu Navula High School student return in 2023.

“Glad to secure another key signing for our 2023 season with JB. With 6 of our senior players moving on Ipswich Jets, JB will be a important part of our forward pack next year” said Naiqama.

“With the ability to play big minutes and aggressive style of footy he plays, he has a good skill set with the ball and will look play lock, in which Manasa Kalou did a tremendous job for us the last 2 seasons.”

“JB was a late inclusion to our squad mid-way through this season and slotted straight into our top squad, debuting in our Round 9 game v competition favourites St Mary’s, in which we just lost 18-16 having played 55 mins with only 12 players”

“Looking for a breakthrough season from him”

Congratulations JB!
