The Kaiviti Silktails are excited to announce that our 2022 Best Back – Viliame Tutuvili, has re-committed to the club in 2023.
Bill is 21 years old and from Navosa, and was the former u/19 Captain of the winning Nadroga Rugby Team coached by the Silktails Talatala Akei ‘Junior’ Nainoca.
After an impressive 2022 season – including being called in to play for the Sydney Roosters Jersey Flegg squad – Silktails Head Coach Wes Naiqama spoke about how thrilled he was to have him back with us next year.
“Over the moon to have Villi re-sign for 2023. He was our Best Back in 2022 and was in demand from French Rugby which was well publicised in the media. He was also offered a deal with rival club St Mary’s and a pre-season with the Panthers NSW Cup squad.” said Naiqama.
“All we could offer Vili was a second season to further develop his game and we are just so thrilled he will be with us again. Speaks volumes for the strength of our footy program and the bond we all built last season that he has chosen to remain with the Silktails in 2023.”
