The Kaiviti Silktails Official Teamwear Supplier – Pacific Custom Sports – have re-committed to the Fiji club for another 12 months.
General Manager Ben Tooker said the company wanted to remain a part of the club’s ongoing story.
“PCS is excited to extend the partnership with the Silktails into the 2022 season as the official team wear supplier continuing support and being part of the Silktails journey,” Tooker said.
Silktails Executive Director Stephen Driscoll thanked PCS for their belief in the club.
“They have been with us from the start right back to the bid stage of the Silktails project and have stuck solid through the most trying circumstances including two season cancellations due to Covid 19,” Driscoll said.
Despite other clothing manufacturers showing an interest in the Kaiviti Silktails, Driscoll said the Board made its decision to remain with PCS.
“Sometimes you can be a bit ‘penny wise, pound foolish’ when making decisions on commercial deals and in the end the Silktails board decided to reward PCS for the loyalty they have shown to our footy club,” Driscoll said.
“We believe you can’t put a figure on that and we are really excited to have them back on board.”
The Kaiviti Silktails are in the process of finalising other sponsorship agreements as well as its pre-season fixtures to be held on the Gold Coast in February.
Driscoll said this ensured PCS’ gear would be visible to the public during this period.
“With so many exciting announcements to be made over the next month the 2022 Silktails strip will feature prominently through all of these announcements,” he said.
“So we look forward to working closely with Managing Director Manny Artango and Ben during this period.”
The Kaiviti Silktails participation in the NSWRL Ron Massey Cup is proudly supported by the Australian Government through PacificAus Sports.
